Photo Shoot Images

I organised my photo shoot to be in a studio so that the background would be blank and I had the use of the studio lights which helped me control the grading of the shoot.  I made sure my artist was wearing her everyday clothes to give her a casual look unlike conventional magazine photo shoots where artists can be dressed up to much.  This gives my artist the representation of being down to earth and like normal people, opposed to being fake and dolled up.  Most of the poses I had my artist do were inspired by Terry Richardson's poses, which I had looked at earlier.

Here are most of the images from my shoot.

Planning - Photo Shoot Poses

I have looked at some photo shoots of celebrities by the photographer Terry Richardson. I used his style for inspiration because his photo shoots are known for their eccentric and sometimes controversial poses. So I think a photography style similar to Terry Richardson's would suit my magazine because it will appeal to my younger audience because he uses themes like sex, humour and fashion.

Press Release

IPC Media’s Inspire division is producing a new mainstream music magazine, GOODMUSIC.  It is a magazine similar to NME, also produced by IPC Media, but this magazine is different in the way that it is aimed at young people around the age group of 15 – 25 and focussed mainly on music that is popular with this audience such as contemporary rock, hip hop, electronic music and mainstream popular music.

As well as information on gigs, album reviews and releases and up and coming artists, the magazine features a lot on the fashion, interests and culture of the younger generation, being the first music magazine on the market to cater to this age group as a whole.

The magazine will be available to download online, it will have a website for further information and loads of extra content and it will be interactive on sites such as; Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.  This will help boost the magazine's buyers and subscribers because of people increasing use of the internet especially the young and it will ensure the magazine's contemporary reputation due to the multiple platforms it will cover and the way the magazine will continue to evolve it's use of different platforms as technology evolves.
